Friday Labor Demonstration to Snarl Traffic

The Community Workers of America labor union is scheduled to stage a march and demonstration on Friday, April 24 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., that is expected to snarl traffic Downtown, police officials said.

The march starts at Union Station, then proceeds south on Los Angeles St., west on Temple Street and south on Olive Street. The CWA, which has permits for street closures, will conclude the march with a demonstration at 433 S. Olive St.

Police are expecting about 500 demonstrators.
